My daughter loves watching H2O! I thought that I could do without TV, easy peasy, but when we seriously got ready to get rid of our TV, I suffered major anxiety, isn’t that terrible? (we still have TV)

For the first time ever we have a DVR. I love that thing. I know we are way late to the game but better late than never. My current obsession is The Unit. I watch one or two or three every night. Unless American Idol is on and then I watch that.

I kind of like TV.

P.S. Dave and I didn’t have any TV at all for a long time and then 9/11 happened and Dave was in England and I had no way to watch the news and felt like the whole world knew what was going on except me. We’ve never been without TV since.

Ummm… ok stay far, far, far away from Dexter, Breaking Bad (both already mentioned I think) and the Game of Thrones. I remember the one and only time we did a series via Netflix it was 24 (this was pre-kids) and we watched it – the entire season. That’s 1 entire day worth of just watching TV. We both felt really dirty afterwards and yet, I still am dying for the next episode of GoT to come out. Like you, I can’t stop…

Oh, I did the Downton Abbey thing, but it was before we cut out cable. It was AWESOME.

And I totally agree with you about having everything in ONE PLACE. It’s such a pain in the butt to have to access three to four different places to see everything.

Ha! Do you like period dramas? Don’t even *think* about watching Downton Abbey. Unless you like angst-filled love stories, British accents, and scandal. My husband and I were hooked within 5 minutes. I love the internet TV thing, except that I want them ALL to have EVERYTHING so I don’t have to use my brain and search for the shows I want. They should all just be in one place. Am I right? I think so. I need to be enabled to sloth whenever I want.

Oh, Netflix is a blessing…and a curse. My son crawls into bed every morning and asks for my iPhone “to pway games, mommy?” That means, of course, “cartoons on Netflix!!” My issue is that he turns on things I wouldn’t normally approve for a three year old…but he always chases it down with something like Strawberry Shortcake. hahaha

Oh my friend . . . there are even more! Try Heroes, Breaking Bad and Dexter (although the last two will slow you down b/c they really are adult only).

I am going to start Downton Abbey once school gets out and Dev keeps trying to get me to watch Rome.

There is lots of good stuff out there!
